What does the hybrid format entail?
Experience the best of both worlds – flexible online learning with 5 days of monthly in-person training at the serene SRMD London Spiritual Centre, Bushey. Over the 7 months learning period, you will journey deeper into yoga theory online, expand your practical experience in-person and feel empowered by joining the SRMD Yoga community.

Meet the Trainers
Komal Mehta (Head of SRMD Yoga London)
With extensive experience guiding practitioners from many different backgrounds age and ability groups, Komal brings a thoughtful and inclusive approach to her classes. She is known for creating a supportive environment that encourages self-awareness, consistency, and personal growth on and off the mat. Alongside her teaching, Komal plays a key role in mentoring teachers and shaping the direction of SRMD Yoga London.
Namrata Virani (Deputy Head of SRMD Yoga London)
Namrata Virani is a yoga teacher with SRMD Yoga London, where she shares a calm, mindful approach to practice rooted in breath awareness and presence. As Deputy Head of SRMD Yoga London, she plays an active role in supporting the growth and delivery of the programme.
Over the years, Namrata has taught yoga across a range of settings and industries, hosting classes in the UK and internationally, including in Africa. Her teaching experience spans cultural institutions such as the Victoria and Albert Museum, sessions for children, and collaborations with other spiritual and community-based organisations.
In her classes, Namrata focuses on aligning breath with each asana to cultivate deeper focus, balance, and inner stillness. She aims to create a grounded and peaceful space where students can reconnect with both body and mind, regardless of their background or level of experience.
Avni Doshi (SRMD Yoga London Senior Trainer)
Avni Doshi is a senior yoga teacher with SRMD yoga. She weaves the use of functional movement as a foundation for aligned asana practice. By emphasising how the body moves naturally, she helps students build strength, stability, and mobility that support both physical postures and long-term well-being.
Her teaching is rooted in alignment principles and reverence for ancient yogic wisdom, with the ultimate intention of preparing the mind for meditation. Through mindful movement and precise guidance, she encourages a practice that is grounded and sustainable.
Seema Menon (SRMD Yoga London Senior Trainer)
Seema Menon is a London-based SRMD Yoga Teacher, AI professional and entrepreneur with years of experience in yoga, mindfulness and meditation. Trained in India, she continually enhances her practice through programs such as Isha Yoga’s Inner Engineering, the MBCT program at Oxford Mindfulness Centre and Vipassana meditation. Alongside her work in the artificial intelligence space, Seema coaches and mentors professionals through apperceptive programs and thought leadership on mindfulness, focus and achievement. She has conducted numerous workshops, including Call Attention To: Mindfulness and Communication, sessions on managing anxiety and menopause and wellbeing practices for resilience. A senior resident trainer at SRMD Yoga UK, Seema teaches weekly classes at the SRMD London Spiritual Centre in NW London and has led yoga sessions at landmark venues such as Trafalgar Square, the Nehru Centre and the V&A Museum. Passionate about holistic wellbeing, she blends mindfulness with yoga to help people reduce stress, build balance and find calm amidst modern-day challenges.

Asana practice is the heart of yoga. Learn the breakdown of all major asanas in detail. Deep dive into our fundamental asana series and understand their benefits, technique of practice, contraindications, variations using a variety of props and much more.

SRMD Yoga is an initiative envisioned by an Enlightened Master and spiritual visionary, Pujya Gurudevshri. It is rooted in spirituality. The SRMD Yoga TTC is also headquartered in an ashram based in Gujarat, India where yogic principles are taught traditionally by internationally and multi- qualified trainers who lead a life service.
It is a 200-hour hybrid course, which you can pace over the span of 7 months. There will be a total of 5 days at the Centre for in-person training (approx. once a month), and the remaining modules will be covered online through videos. There will be an additional in-person day for the theory and practical exam.
All students have lifetime access to all course material.

Hybrid learning consists of watching pre-recorded videos in your free time as per the order set on the platform over a period of 7 months. This allows you to do the course without disrupting your daily routine. Along with this, the course facilitates in-person modules with our experienced trainers for 6 days (monthly Sundays, see schedule for exact dates).
Having some background about yoga, meditation or exercise is beneficial but not required. SRMD Yoga teachers will help strengthen your basics and encourage you towards advanced levels.
Practising asanas regularly will help boost your flexibility. After all, flexibility comes with repeated practice.
Yes, you are required to give a theory examination at the end of the course. This exam will be in person on the Exam Day on 20th September at the SRMD London Spiritual Centre and will cover everything you have learnt in class. You will also be required to give a practical examination in person on the same day.
A 30 min practical teaching submission will be required by end July for you to receive feedback for the final in-person practical exam on 20th September.
This course follows the updated regulations of Yoga Alliance, therefore, upon completion of all lessons and final assessments, you will receive a 200-hour certification eligible to be registered with Yoga Alliance USA. This certificate is the same as the one students receive after completing an offline course.
This course follows the traditional Hatha Yoga practice and goes into depth of asanas and techniques based on Hatha Yoga.
This course is taught in English, but will be offered in several languages very soon.
SRMD Yoga believes that yoga is for every one. Each asana has a variation and can be practised as per your own comfort. All are welcome to join our TTC.
