Devki Desai

Devki Desai is a SRMD Yoga senior teacher residing in Pune, India with over 35 years of yoga experience. She started her yoga training under the guidance of the esteemed Shri B. K. S. Iyengar himself at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in 1984. Devki began teaching at the same institute in 1995 and since then, she has traveled worldwide to assist BKS and Geeta Iyengar in conventions and workshops. In 2008 she began conducting her own yoga sessions across the globe, with participants from Israel, Australia, France, Canada, United Kingdom, Russia, Dubai, Singapore, etc.

She conducts sessions at the International Headquarters of SRMD Yoga in Dharampur and regularly hosts the SRMD Yoga Programme for participants globally. Devki conveys the precision and discipline of the Iyengar practice with energetic youthfulness and the wisdom born from her experience. Students often comment on her ability to beautifully incorporate her youthful energy with the philosophy of Patanjali and the attention and discipline of the Iyengar practice.

Atmarpit Dr. Mansiji

Atmarpit Dr. Mansiji Shah MD FAAP is a core team member of SRMD Yoga. Hailing originally from Arizona, USA, Atmarpit Dr. Mansiji shifted to India to pursue a spiritual path. She is a practicing paediatrician and neonatologist and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200 hours) with Yoga Alliance. Atmarpit Dr. Mansiji incorporates her medical and anatomical knowledge to ensure that her students are well-informed regarding the physical aspects of asana practice, practice safely themselves and make medically safe adjustments.

Atmarpit Dr. Mansiji has been leading Yoga workshops at the International Headquarters of SRMD Yoga, Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram, Dharampur. She leads various yoga, pranayama and meditation workshops globally and has hosted yoga events for various Embassies and corporations worldwide. She is passionate about ensuring precision in asanas and incorporating meditation into the yoga practice.

Atmarpit Dr. Suprina

Atmarpit Dr. Suprina Pharm.D is a core team member of SRMD Yoga. Hailing originally from New York, USA, Dr. Suprina shifted to India to pursue a spiritual path. She is an Experienced Registered Yoga teacher (E-RYT 500 hours) with Yoga Alliance. She completed her Yoga Teacher Training Course in classical ashtanga at Ashtanga Yoga Mysuru and her Advanced Yoga Teacher Training course in ashtanga and hatha yoga at World Peace Yoga School in Rishikesh. She is also certified in Prenatal Yoga.

Atmarpit Dr. Suprina regularly leads yoga sessions at the International Headquarters of SRMD Yoga, Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur and hosts virtual yoga workshops across the globe. She teaches with a deep medical understanding behind the purpose and benefits of each asana, tailoring practices for each individual students’ needs.

Avni Talsania

Avni Talsania is a core team member of SRMD Yoga. Hailing originally from New Jersey, USA, Avni shifted to India to pursue a spiritual path. She is a Registered Yoga teacher (RYT 500 hours) with Yoga Alliance and holds a Masters of Science in Yoga from the world-renowned Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana. Avni has extensively studied the Yoga Sutras, yoga therapy for diseases, Sanskrit texts, Physiology and advanced asana techniques in the two yoga capitals of the world, Mysore and Rishikesh. Avni regularly teaches classes in her studio and online for hundreds of students worldwide. She has conducted workshops and sessions for Microsoft, IBM, TATA, Four Seasons Hotel, Aditya Birla Capital, Yoga International, and many more organizations. She has been featured in various publications like Vogue, Mumbai Mirror, and DNA.

Avni previously worked as a yoga therapist at VYASA Arogyadhama (an Alternative Healing Hospital) where patients with various diseases from Arthritis to Schizophrenia to Cancer come to be treated with yoga therapy and Ayurveda. Her forte is being both highly advanced in her asana practice but even more advanced in her theory. She is able to break down complex philosophical concepts and jargon into practical and impactful lessons for the urban yogi in the 21st century.

Kalpesh Kamdar

Kalpesh Kamdar is a SRMD Yoga teacher residing in Kolkata, India. He is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500 hours) with Yoga Alliance. Kalpesh first completed his 200-hour training course in 2015 from Ashtanga Yoga, Mysuru. In 2017, he spent time training under Shri Ajay Kumar in Mysuru and in 2019 Kalpesh completed his 300-hour teacher training course.

He has been conducting yoga classes in Kolkata for over five years, and regularly teaches classes to local celebrities. He also conducts classes at the SRMD Yoga Headquarters, Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram, Dharampur and leads the SRMD Yoga Programme virtually for participants around the globe. Kalpesh is the Calcutta Center Coordinator.

Rima Sheth

Rima Sheth is a SRMD Yoga teacher residing in Mumbai, India. She is an Indian Yoga Association certified Yoga instructor with a specialisation in Kids Yoga. Rima has taught yoga for over 25 years at the Activity High School, introducing children from 1st to 8th standard to asana practice and yoga philosophy. Throughout her tenure, Rima has studied Yoga Therapy and various meditation techniques, ensuring classes are holistically beneficial to the body, mind, and soul. She conducts yoga sessions at the International Headquarters of SRMD Yoga, Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram Dharampur and leads virtual classes for the residents of the surrounding area in Dharampur. Rima also offers yoga classes to the elderly, prisoners and post-COVID rehabilitation care patients.

Dr. Bijal Ghelani

Dr. Bijal Ghelani MBBS GDPH FRACGP is a SRMD Yoga teacher residing in Sydney, Australia. She is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 350 hours) with Yoga Alliance, Australia and has completed her training in Hatha and Yin Yoga at My Health Yoga School in Australia.

With her deep medical background, Dr. Bijal promotes yoga as whole-body wellness therapy to achieve the best health outcomes. Dr. Bijal is a general practitioner. Dr. Bijal is the Sydney Center Coordinator.

Kelly Scharff

Kelly Scharff is a SRMD Yoga teacher residing in New York, USA. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200 hours) with Yoga Alliance and has completed her training in Hatha and Classical Ashtanga Yoga at World Peace Yoga School in Rishikesh. Kelly is also a certified meditation teacher and has led virtual yoga and meditation classes for practitioners across the United States for the last three years.

She conducts weekly virtual classes as a teacher for the SRMD Yoga New York Center and contributes to the SRMD Yoga content team. Kelly makes yearly visits to the International Headquarters of SRMD Yoga, Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram Dharampur, where she conducts energizing yoga sessions. With her serene and inviting nature, Kelly has an art of connecting yoga philosophy with the asana practice, adding more depth to the overall experience.

Nisarg Ved

Nisarg Ved is a SRMD Yoga teacher residing in Dubai, UAE. He is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance (RYT 200 hours) from World Peace Yoga School in Rishikesh. Nisarg’s foremost intention is to heal the mind-body-spirit by combining his knowledge and professional training with his passions for singing and meditation.

He conducts yoga classes and workshops at various studios across Dubai and Muscat like Bhakti Lounge Dubai, Dhyana Dubai, Yoga La Vie, and more. Nisarg also leads sessions for various corporations like Dubai Petroleum Company etc. and conducts the SRMD Yoga Programme virtually for participants around the globe. Nisarg is the SRMD Yoga Dubai and Muscat Center Coordinator.

Shreya Sanghvi

Shreya Sanghvi is a SRMD Yoga teacher residing in New York, USA. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200 hours) with Yoga Alliance and has completed her training in Classical Ashtanga Yoga at Ashtanga Yoga School in Mysore. Shreya has over three years of experience teaching various forms of yoga including hot yoga, power yoga, ashtanga and restorative yoga, both in-person and virtually.

As a teacher, her goal is to facilitate her students to strengthen the mind-body-soul connection through mindful movement and breathing techniques, while providing a space for students to further explore their inner-self. Shreya practices yoga at various studios throughout New York to expand her breadth of different yoga styles as well as teaching techniques. Shreya is the New York Center Coordinator.

Atmarpit Dr. Apurvaji

Atmarpit Dr. Apurvaji BDS is a SRMD Yoga teacher residing at the International Headquarters of SRMD Yoga, Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur, India. He has been initiated as an ‘Atmarpit’ by Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji, founder of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur. An Atmarpit is a renunciate who has been initiated into life-long celibacy, and a life of sadhana and seva. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery and is a certified yoga instructor by the Indian Yoga Association (IYA).

Atmarpit Dr. Apurvaji has practiced Iyengar yoga for over ten years under the guidance of a life-long disciple of Shri B.K.S. Iyengar. Atmarpit Dr. Apurvaji conducts yoga sessions at the International Headquarters of SRMD Yoga. With his fluency in Hindi language, he conducts Hindi classes to ensure all seekers benefit from the practice. Atmarpit Dr. Apurvaji’s joyful nature brings a sense of peaceful celebration to his classes.

Rumi Chedda

Rumi Chedda is a SRMD Yoga teacher residing at the International Headquarters of SRMD Yoga, Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur, India. He is a certified teacher through the Indian Yoga Association (IYA). Rumi has been practicing yoga for many years under the guidance of a life-long disciple of Shri B.K.S. Iyengar.

He regularly conducts yoga sessions at the International Headquarters of SRMD Yoga, Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram, Dharampur, where he especially holds classes in Gujarati. With his peaceful nature, his sessions allow practitioners to enjoy a sense of groundedness and stillness.

Atmarpit Hardika

Atmarpit Hardika is a core team member of SRMD Yoga. She resides at the SRMD Yoga Headquarters: Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur, India. She has been initiated as an ‘Atmarpit’ by Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji, founder of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur. Her passion for Yoga and its philosophy is clearly reflected in her classes, as she pushes her audience to strive towards inner serenity and harmony by way of Yoga.

Sucharita (Suchi) Sarika

Suchi is a dedicated SRMD Yoga teacher based in Singapore. She has extensive training, including Yoga Siromani teacher training in Canada, an anatomy and posture review course from Pilates Academy in New York, Advanced Yoga training and Hatha Yoga in Tamil Nadu, and teacher training from BKS Iyengar Institute. Specializing in yoga asanas and their correlation with the breath, Suchi designs holistic programs and conducts weekly sessions at the Singapore Jain Religious Society. Parima Shah

Parima Shah is an internationally certified registered yoga teacher (RYT500). She completed her teacher yoga training at Ayush Yogadarshanam in Mysuru and then, later, followed up with the Advanced Yoga Teacher Training course at World Peace Yoga School in Rishikesh. Since 2017, Parima has taken yoga classes at the ashram in Dharampur Ashram, in San Diego, and in San Francisco, where she currently resides. In addition, she has conducted yoga workshops at corporations in Silicon Valley. She specialises in Yoga therapy and children’s yoga.

Namrata Virani

Namrata Virani is a SRMD Yoga teacher residing in London UK. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance (RYT 200 hours) and has completed her training from Akasha Yoga Academy based in Bali, Indonesia. Namrata teaches weekly SRMD Yoga Hour classes at the SRMD London Spiritual Centre in NW London and is a leading member of the SRMD Yoga London centre. Namrata’s speciality is in aligning the breath with asanas as it provides more focus and awareness in the practice.

Komal Mehta

Komal Mehta is a SRMD Yoga teacher residing in London UK. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200 hours) with Yoga Alliance and has completed her training with SRMD School of Yoga and S-VYASA University of Yoga in Bangalore, India. Komal currently leads virtual yoga and meditation classes for the online fitness platform Barfi Bootcamp and live classes for SRMD Yoga from the SRMD London Spiritual Centre in NW London. She also leads children’s value education classes with SR Divinetouch incorporating her love of service and spiritual practice into a holistic lifestyle.

Bhavna Shah

Bhavana Shah is an SRMD Yoga teacher from Australia who is certified as a Hatha Yoga Teacher (RYT 500 Hrs) from Yoga Australia. She has been teaching yoga for 5 years and takes sessions at the SRMD Yoga centre in Adelaide, Australia. Her speciality is working on functional mobility, relief from physical pain and alleviating stress and negative emotions through her yoga classes.
