Designed to support yoga practitioners progress from experimental to experiential levels of yoga, this holistic programme allows participants to explore yoga and come closer to themselves.

Level 1 - Basic

Build your foundational yoga practice

Take a step out of your busy schedule and experience the joyful and healing effects of yoga. Designed for all-levels, SRMD Yoga Course Level 1 is unique in its combination of asana, pranayama, meditation and sound bath. Delve into the experience for 2 hours a day over 3 days and come out feeling more flexible, energised, focused, calm and compassionate.

Asana

The Level 1 – Basic Course is a great point of entry to a sustainable and fulfilling yoga practice. With a focus on form and an accessible pace, you will have the opportunity to become comfortable with a variety of fundamental poses. This program will lay the groundwork for yoga practice by teaching the basics of alignment, movement and breathing. Whether you are looking to establish a new practice or delve into the nuances of essential poses, this well-rounded introductory program is for you.

Pranayama

With focused attention, breathing can become an art. This course provides a gentle entry point into pranayama, teaching how to slow down and deepen your breathing for a happier and more present state of mind. Each session explores a different aspect of the practice, from tracing the flow of breath through your body to optimising your posture for a full experience. You will also learn several basic techniques, helping you feel the inner transformation that conscious breathing can catalyse.

Meditation

This program will dispel many of the common misconceptions about meditation by providing easy steps to get started. Delivered with clear, step-by-step instruction, these brief sessions will naturally bring meditation into your life through unique techniques including the sound bath.

Level 3 - Advanced

Deepen your experience by unlocking the 7 fundamental virtues of the self through advanced techniques

Overview of the course:

Do you regularly practice yoga and are looking to take your yoga practice to the next level? The SRMD Yoga Course – Level 3 enriches your existing practice with yogic techniques, enabling your innate noble qualities to blossom over the course of the 7 days. Designed for advanced practitioners, this course focuses on using asanas, deep meditation and extended pranayamas to unlock the fundamental virtues of peace, power, purity, happiness, truth, love and knowledge. 

  • Prior yoga experience is required

Unique Asanas

A long-term practice is all about continually refining even the most basic poses. As your body awareness improves, alignment becomes your touchstone. When you practice asana consistently over time, you become stronger, more flexible, and able to access increasingly challenging poses. While you take yourself through these trials, you are urged to find inner stability from the 7 virtues that lie within. As you micro-adjust your external alignment, you can fine-tune your inner alignment by drawing awareness to your inner landscape of feelings and virtues in every pose.

Blindfold Yoga

Practising blindfold yoga is a chance to deepen your practice, find trust in yourself, and dig up the courage to try something new. When sight is removed from your yoga practice, there’s no choice but to turn inward and heighten your internal senses.

The present moment will be magnified and you will tune deeper into feeling and hearing the sensations of your body and inner dialogue. You will notice that the need for focus and presence is much greater than usual. If your mind shifts or wanders at all from the present, you’ll feel lost. Take this as an opportunity to find approval from within yourself. After all, the purpose of the practice of yoga is to connect to your deeper self and feel a sense of renewed confidence from within.

Prolonged Pranayama

Breath is considered the most important form of prana – the flow of energy in the body and a link between the body, mind and spirit. Pranayama significantly reduces  anxiety levels and stimulates the brain areas involved in emotion processing, attention, and awareness. Through controlling the in and out-flow of breath, the mind becomes calmer and with this purification, the 7 virtues can manifest.

Deeper Meditation

Participants will explore the tools to tap into an inner powerhouse of peace that is under their own control. This program is for anyone who is looking to establish a consistent meditation practice that encourages physical vibrancy, mental clarity, and emotional stability. Participants will learn to identify and direct the currents of energy in their body and will discover an intuitive and individualized approach to creating inner harmony.

Level 2 - Intermediate

Revitalise and balance your energies to align you with your inner nature

Explore the alignment of your mind, body, and spirit during the intermediate SRMD Yoga Course Level 2. Designed for yoga practitioners, this course explores our relationship with the natural elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space through asana. Flow like the water, ground yourself like the earth, and spark your inner fiery passion over the course of 5 days.

Earth

The most dense of all the elements, earth makes up the solid matter of the universe. The earth element is cool, heavy, rooted, and stable. It also represents the structures of our bodies—bones, flesh, skin—and helps give us shape. This module covers yogic flows to ground yourself externally and internally to the Earth. Watch as the body, mind and energies calm down, slow down and come back to the present moment.

Water

The water element helps us connect to our feelings and emotions. It is soft, soothing, cleansing, sustaining and nourishing.  This elemental flow is aimed at present moment awareness by mimicking the movements of a flowing river. Cultivate an open mind and flexible body as you experience a fluid, water-like flow.

Fire

The fire element represents heat, light, digestion, metabolism and transformation. Fire fuels our sense of independence and motivation, and when our inner flames are stoked it provides energy to the body. We know our fire is in balance when we easily tap into all the emotions associated with power: inner strength, confidence, discipline, motivation and change. This yogic flow will build fire in the belly by challenging the body to explore new asanas and expanding the mind to embrace uncharted territory.

Air

Air represents all forms of motion, including blood circulation, breath, thoughts and movement. The body tends to feels heavy from stress and negativity, while the mind can be weighed down by a constant stream of thoughts. This flow is programmed to momentarily pause the mental activity and encourage the body and mind to feel light like a cloud.

Space

The most subtle of the elements, ether, or space, is all about expansion and openness. This element governs the space between and within our cells and internal organs. Correct alignment in yoga poses plays a crucial role in creating enough space within the body. The ether flow will include deep stretches and focused breathwork to clear out blocked channels. This fosters positivity, clear communication and enhanced expression.

Level 2 Course

Detox the Mind and Body: Aligning the body and the mind, by coming to the present moment to control each breath and thereby centre the mind into a state of focus.
The SRMD Yoga Programme – Level 2 Course goes deeper through varied breathing techniques, thereby coming to the present moment. Through this course, we will integrate asana and breath to help align the body and mind. The different types of Pranayama techniques will help cleanse ourselves with take away techniques to naturally detox the body and mind daily. Join this course to learn more about Pranayama and Asana.

Level 3 Course

Uncover a New Dimension: Going from focused movement to subtler, stiller and deeper practices of meditation.
The SRMD Yoga Programme – Level 3 Course explores deeper avenues of Asanas and dives into the meditative realm. By deeper practices of meditation, practicing the witnessing mode through Asana and pranayama and interactive sessions, participants will come out with a handful of techniques to come closer to the self and delve deeper within.
